# Governance & Structure

We aren't a conventional hierarchy with bosses. We're also not a "flat" structure. We're structured to be highly adaptable, while also being clear about which roles make which decisions.

### Holacracy

We use the rules of the Holacracy Constitution to govern how authority gets distributed throughout the organisation. This is then reflected in the roles and policies you'll find [in Glassfrog](https://app.glassfrog.com/organizations/24477/orgnav/roles/13277834).

The **Direction Circle** ultimately holds ATT's overall purpose. It distributes decision-making authority and resources to its sub-Circles and sub-Roles.

![Overview only - this does not necessarily reflect our exact current structure.](https://2261325459-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MZrmg0qAsDxB3RMOxMq%2Fuploads%2FTcRR07itSce9F9ZDirbS%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=93826aa8-3503-404e-a80b-ae927292f1c1)

### Articles of Association

In certain special circumstances, the Holacracy Constitution may be superceded by our [**Articles of Association**](https://workdrive.zohopublic.eu/external/31623738e0f15d53a6d0d54dfd5d921f68e4d0d8c04d6cfd2a4c60ebbe7037fb). These are rules our company directors must legally use in circumstances where conflicts can't be resolved using Holacracy's rules.
