Role Purpose Format

  • Every role, from its point of creation, must have a purpose in its role definition.

  • Every role's purpose must be expressed in a PQR format, "To [achieve a goal] by [main activity] in order to [broader overarching goal]", unless the Circle Lead of the role waives this requirement (for example, because the role is temporary, self-evident, or has no direct impact on deliverables).

  • If a role is permitted to go without a PQR, or it needs an interim purpose while the PQR is being drafted, its purpose must be expressed as an answer to the question, "What does wild success for this role look like?"
